Navarre Minerals is pleased to announce it has been successful in its application for a $132,175 drilling grant by the Queensland state government to advance its Gold-Silver-Copper (Au-Ag-Cu) project at the Mt Carlton operation.

The grant will support drill testing of a priority geophysical target located 1.4km southeast of the Mt Carlton mill. The footprint of the target is potentially larger in scale than the nearby 1Moz V2 gold-silver-copper open pit mine. Navarre will test the target with four 350m deep diamond core holes.

This drilling will comprise part of the company’s 10,000m Large Orebody Discovery Exploration (LODE) initiative, which commenced earlier this month.

The grant was offered following a competitive application process under Round 7 of the Queensland Government’s Collaborative Exploration Initiative (CEI Grant). These grants were assessed for quality and innovation by a panel of experts from the Queensland Department of Resources and independent industry representatives.
