Project Platypus, in collaboration with Navarre, have planted 2,500 stems of trees across three sites in the Grampians and Pyranees biolink areas, which will re-establish over five hectares of Box-ironbark forest.

The project sought to re-invigorate the areas with native vegetation and establish 1,770m of fencing to keep out livestock.

A five-member Project Platypus crew planted all the tubestock across all three sites in one and a half days.

Navarre is a proud supporter of Project Platypus, which aims to protect the environmental health of the Upper Wimmera Catchment through ongoing initiatives such as tree planting, promoting Earth Science, and local ecosystem protection.

Navarre provided a donation to ensure the Project could purchase the necessary fencing and tubestock for the project.
