The Mt Carlton operation south of Townsville has marked an exciting ore delivery milestone, with the completion of the first ore delivery from the newly approved open-cut mine located 4 km west of the Mt Carlton mill.
The first load of ore from Mt Carlton United (MCU) was delivered to the Run Of Mine (ROM) on 29 December 2022.
This milestone is an ‘early New Year’s gift’ for the operation, with many thanks going out to the Mining team for their tireless and exemplary work.
The team is busy preparing for full production in the mine.
This new open-cut mine highlights Navarre’s ongoing commitment to extend the life of the Mt Carlton operation to continue growth and increase production.
