Navarre Minerals is pleased to report that the first diamond drilling campaign at the St. Arnaud goldfield at the new Bendigo line has struck visible gold and a new gold-bearing quartz reef.

The new reef was discovered 40 metres east of the historic 400,000oz goldfield, demonstrating mineralisation that was missed by the “old timers” during the original 1850s goldrush.

This 9,000 metre, phase 1 diamond core program follows Navarre’s air-core drilling, which showed encouraging signs of gold intersections at the site.

On what happens next, Managing Director Mr. Ian Holland said “The next logical step is further expansion and infill diamond core drill testing, ultimately aimed at defining a maiden resource. This would add to our existing resource base declared earlier this year at our flagship Stawell Corridor project.”
