Navarre is proud to announce that the Mt Carlton operation has achieved another milestone with its recently approved open-cut mine, Mt Carlton United (MCU), with the first blast of the new MCU West Pit occurring on the 26th of January, Australia Day.
The auspicious blast establishes the first bench and officially kicks off the mining sequence at MCU.
Infrastructure is currently being improved to increase the haulage from MCU to the processing plant.
Navarre extends its warm thanks to the SRG team for drill and blast activities, establishing exclusion zones, and maintaining strict compliance with on-site safety procedures.
The team is working hard to establish full production capacity for the operation, which will in turn, extend the life of Mt Carlton.
