Last week, the Victorian Resources Minister The Hon. Jaala Pulford MP visited Navarre at our Western Victorian operations to meet with the team and see firsthand how Navarre is investing in the region.

CSIRO geoscientist Peter Schaubs explained how innovative data modelling and analysis has enabled Navarre to better target exploration activities.

The Minister’s tour also took in our air-core drilling operations at the Langi Logan prospect, the result of a key CSIRO and Navarre collaboration.

Navarre has invested over $10m in exploration over the last 12 months and proposed to invest a further $10m in the next financial year.

The investment generates at least 40-50 local jobs, either hired directly or via contractors.

Navarre also supports further education and skills training, with two employees studying geology at Federation University in Ballarat.

The Minister also saw Navarre Managing Director Ian Holland handing over the first $15,000 instalment to Project Platypus, which will support biodiversity and the planting of over 6,000 trees in the Great Western and St. Arnaud areas.
